Playing original barn music grown in central Vermont, Wool is led by Jean Palthey (guitar/vocals) and Cat Buxton (mandolin/vocals), with Sean Dollar and Scott McDermott holding down bass, saxophone, flute, and harmonica – though not necessarily at the same time. Together for over ten years and playing venues throughout Vermont, Wool draws its influences from classic roots rock and reggae musicians of the ‘60's & ‘70's - folks like Bob Marley, Sister Carol, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, the Grateful Dead - and later on, Ani Difranco and Sublime. “And the wind, waves, bugs and birds,” adds vocalist & mandolin player Cat Buxton.
