A mom, singer-songwriter, and musician living in Elmore, Vermont, Christine’s debut recording “Crickets, Coyotes and the Big Yellow Moon” won the Times Argus 2015 Tammy Award for Best Country Record. The album, engineered by local musical luminary Colin McCaffrey, also featured a wealth of additional Vermont talent, including Rudy Dauth, Russ Lawton, Miriam Bernardo, Jeremy Harple and Dave Keller. Christine’s most recent recording, 2019’s “I Like You!”, celebrates love and life in a small town and is likewise blessed with several other great Vermont notables, including Bow Thayer, Russ Lawton, and Miriam Bernardo. But it’s the strength of her songwriting and voice that carry the CD. As Jordan Adams from Seven Days wrote about the tune “Sad Song” upon the album’s launch: “’Sad Song’ is the album's tearjerker. It vividly showcases Malcolm's vocal dexterity, by turns light and fluttery or strong and soulful. Throughout I Like You, Malcolm demonstrates a striking voice, both in terms of her actual singing and the stories she tells.” To learn more about Christine and listen to her songs in advance of Thursday night’s show, go to: https://christinemalcolm.com/audio
